Complex additively manufactured micro lattice structures

Geometrically highly complex functional structures made of metal can be manufactured true to final shape using micro laser sintering with minimal consumption of resources.

The elimination of functionally unnecessary volumes enables a reduction in component weight of up to 60% compared to conventional manufacturing. There are almost no limits to the freedom of shape, so that three-dimensional structures with alternating internal geometries can also be produced. The wall thickness, the limiting criterion of precise grid structures, can be reduced to 30µm. The minimum achievable value is strongly dependent on the shape of the component as well as the material used.
